We all know that the holidays are a time for family, but unfortunately, most of us spend more time messing around with our phones than actually catching up with Uncle Frank and Auntie Rita. Rather than telling people to put their phones down, we wanted to utilize them to bring people together, instead of keeping them apart.
We started by shooting 12 members of San Francisco's Pacific Chamber Symphony playing "Carol of the Bells" individually. Then, we invited groups of friends to select which musician they wanted to be on their phones. Once everyone had picked an instrument, someone just had to hit start and all of the phones would start playing together like magic, perfectly synchronized and in tune. The Internet is nuts, man.
