Launching a brand is hard; launching a brand during the early days of COVID is hard as hell. Though Messenger has existed for years, until 2020, it was little more than a utility β a little logo that popped up when you got a message on Facebook.
Concepted, created, and produced entirely during quarantine, we created a body of work that re-introduced the world to the Messenger brand and a few of its main products.
The first ever brand campaign for Messenger was all about highlighting the way that video chatting with our best friends and family can give us life and make us feel together, even when weβre apart. It was that rare piece of work that felt really personal as we were making it, as all of us were going through the same things that our actors were.
The βSee You Hereβ campaign got love from a ton of different places, including Creativity, Adweek, Muse By Clio, and many more.
First, we introduced the world to βSee You Hereβ with a series of spots for Messenger Rooms β directed by the πMichel Gondry, Olivier Gondry, and young star, Mia Lidofsky.
